Nice article in the NY Times.Q & A in Billboard.Good profile in Chief Magazine.Nice story in The CrierNice profile in Village Voice.
A great interview in Medium Heat e-zine.

Time Out NY profile. The Village Voice named me "BEST THROWER OF NO-BULLSHIT FAR-FLUNG INDIE ROCK SHOWS" in the 2004 Best Of New York.

Hipster porno website BurningAngel.com did a write up on my 2004 Halloween Party @ Asterisk Art Project and they also wrote up a Tommy's Tavern Japanther show. *WARNING*: the links above contain wry assessments and possible boobies.

Deli magazine published an interview with me in April 2005.
I got myself some press a while back too - click here to indulge me.
or here. or here.

manifesto:
to make your getting together with each other something different,
someway more. not just music but all about the music; making you dance,
making you stay out later. going for the magic of being right there in
what's happening, with no hype, nothing elitist, everyone invited. plus
giving back and being involved in making creativity happen.

I'm
-still- looking to get a new space off the ground in New York City. A place for
the kinds of things I do now, and a space for a lot of new ideas too. I
want to make room for music and all the nighttime stuff plus daytime
space used to help young people find their creative selves and open for
other community charitable use.

If you want to get involved or know anyone who'd want to be involved, we need volunteers when things get off the ground.

But what we need for getting off the ground is investment. If you or
anyone you know has nest egg you want to put towards a good thing,
please get in touch with me. You will be instrumental and involved in
creating something important and great (and profitable.)

I'm a
one man operation, with a million amazing people helping out, however
many nights a week. Thanks my interns and office volunteers, Alaina, Maggie, Josie, Jen, Mike, Mikey, Michael, Mike S, Jon, John, Nathan, Dan, Daniel, Dorie, Leyla, Georgia, Logan, Kevin,

[ ISLANDS ]
Montreal's Islands founded by ex-Unicorns frontman, Nick Diamonds and
drummer J'aime Tambeur tour in support of their new Anti debut album,
'Arm's Way,' offering a smattering of classic pop and '70s rock
influences. "Actually, they sound very similar, and if anything,
Islands are even more accessible than the Unicorns eccentric pop. Think
more emphasis on horns and strings than synths." - Pop Matters
-- MYSPACE / MP3s --> http://www.myspace.com/islands

[ DESPOT ]
Bed-Stuy's Despot (a.k.a. Alec Reinstein) throw down hip hop beats with
raps in between his collaborations with Ratatat, where he appears on
the second volume of their hip hop remix mixed tapes. Reinstein's also
toured as an opening act for the electro-instrumentalist duo.
Currently, the underground rapper's on Definitive Jux (home of Dizzie
Rascal and Aesop Rock)
-- MYSPACE / MP3s --> http://www.myspace.com/despotroast

[ THE FORMS ]
"The Forms craft wiry, punchy indie pop. The singer's silvery voice
soars like the album's namesake. Keep an eye and an ear out." -
Pitchfork "The Forms are one of the most exciting, if not one of the
best, new acts in indie rock right now. It is unbelievable how many
musical ideas they get across." -Popmatters
-- MYSPACE / MP3s --> http://myspace.com/forms

[ NO AGE ]
... "No Age is Randy Randall and Dean Spunt - two heavyweights from the
LA punk / skate / art underworld, who previously performed as two
thirds of that punked DIY machine, WIVES. Formed in December 2005,
following an incendiary final WIVES tour - it ended with a trip to
A&E in Islington, London - Randy and Dean bring the world back to
their room with a different approach for their new band. A crashing
collision of sweetly shouted ditties, ecstatic crunch feedback and
violent bouts of percussion, the no age sound is abound with pop songs
fighting to break through a mist of white fuzz. "no age have a rude
energy, but the music is emptier than with WIVES and more mysterious...
Mr Spunt sang and smacked the rim of his snare drum, while Mr Randall
picked out some broken chords. Then it
shifted: Mr Randall tapped an octave pedal, transforming his spidery
guitar line into a burly, propulsive bass line." - New York Times

[ TITUS ANDRONICUS ]
A gaggle of boys from New Jersey making anxious, neurotic,
crazy-catchyjangle pop anthems. Recently recipients of 'Best New Music"
on Pitchfork, on Troubleman Unlimited.
-- MYSPACE / MP3S --> http://myspace.com/titusandronicus

[ SOFT CIRCLE ]
"Soft Circle is Hisham Bharoocha, former member of Lightning Bolt and
Black Dice. Much of his music comes across steeped in mysticism:
percussion continuously approaches, guitar lines meander like mist,
sequencers trickle, ethereal chants echo like calls from a mountain,
rhythms lull. His musical mantra is simple: "Try to show the beauty of
what you enjoy in life." Utilizing only voice, guitar, an electronic
drum/synthesizer, and a slew of psych-guitar effects, Soft Circle's
songs are filled with "those spaces." He lists albums as varied as The
Enlightening Beam of Axonda, Kulma, and Ultimo Trem as influential to
the new material. The results are truly music for a new age." -
